HFDC’s products:

• are produced in response to the COVID-19 emergency for healthcare workers’ use under the CDC’s crisis capacity strategy guidelines—see, e.g.:

  • https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/ppe-strategy/index.html;

• have not been manufactured or endorsed by any entity other than HFDC;

• have not been tested, approved, or cleared by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (“NIOSH”), or approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”), either under its Emergency Use Authorization or otherwise;

• are not intended for use as (and have not been approved as) medical devices, or to replace medical devices;

• are delivered in non-sterile condition, intended for one-time use only on an “as-is, where-is” basis.

In addition, please note that HFDC’s repair shields for the MaxAir® CAPR® Powered Air Purifying Respirator System should be used only if authentic MaxAir® disposable lens cuffs are not available for healthcare-provider use in an emergency situation during the COVID-19 crisis.
